The 2024 US Election through the Lens of Mundane Astrology

September, both the Republican and Democratic conventions will be behind us, and we’ll know who the candidates are for the upcoming election. My talk will focus on how these candidates fit into the broader context of current astrological cycles. We’ll examine historical charts that have relevance today and use recent American elections as a case study to guide our discussion of the 2024 presidential election astrology.

Wade Caves began studying astrology in 2011 with the Mayo School of Astrology under principal Wendy Stacey. There, he learned the astronomy of chart construction and a psychological approach to natal astrology, graduating with honors in 2012.

In 2013, he enrolled in Deborah Houlding’s School of Traditional Astrology (STA). His initial introduction to horary was an intensive course taught in London, and his studies continued through private mentorship with Deborah via the STA’s masters-level program. He graduated from both courses of study with honors, and began taking clients and publishing case studies for the public in 2014.

He started teaching for the STA in 2015. He led intensive courses in person across the US, Europe, and Canada; and, as technical solutions improved, he spearheaded the school’s efforts to adapt the course to an online, distance-learning format, which was recently adopted by the new Spanish language tutorial team led by colleague María Blaquier. Delivered by a dedicated tutorial team with over 125 years of combined professional experience, and in four different languages (English, Chinese, Greek, Spanish) the STA graduates over two hundred students through its practitioners-level horary program each year.

Anne was the Treasurer for OPA for 7 years and serves on the Board of the CG Jung Foundation. Since December 1998, Anne’s lectured at astrology conferences including UAC 2012 and 2018. She writes a regular column, twitters daily aspects to over 74,000 people and offers three weekly podcasts and YouTube about astrology. Lisa Pesnichak is endlessly curious, intuitively creative and naturally interested in other humans. 2024 Sprint to the White House: The Presidential and VP Candidates’ Wild Race to the Finish Line

The 2024 sprint to the White House has already delivered monumentally shocking twists. Indeed there will be more. Let’s explore the upcoming transits and how they compare to the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates’ forecasts.

Catherine Urban, a professional astrologer certified with top accreditation by the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR-PAA IV) and the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR-CAP). She bought her first astrology book when she was just 12 years old. Her astrology studies deepened in 2009 while living in NYC when she plugged into the astrological community. She studied with her teachers in their apartments, began attending conferences and of course, obsessively reading books.

She eventually returned to Cleveland, where she now teaches astrology and maintains a growing consulting practice. She served on the local astrology board (LCAA), lectured locally on several occasions (including LCAA’s 2018 keynote address) and delivered lectures and webinars at the Great Lakes Astrology Conference (GLAC), The Astrology Gathering (TAG) for various NCGR chapters and Conferences, IAA (International Academy of Astrology), and AYA (Association for Young Astrologers). She continues to study with astrological mentors and colleagues who inspire her. She completed STA (School of Traditional Astrology)’s Horary course in 2020 and spent the past two years learning Hermetic teachings and celestial magic from Gary Caton. This past year, she enjoyed collaborating with Chris Brennan as a guest on The Astrology Podcast.

She currently teaches astrology classes live, though she is in the process of developing self-paced courses. As a mom whose life is very busy, she knows that this is something that would appeal to her, and she has noticed that many other folks desire this sort of offering. She additionally hold space for her monthly chart synthesis group, Cauldron, which is designed for intermediate and advanced students of astrology to converse in the celestial language and develop interpretation skills. She is the author of Your Astrological Cookbook: the perfect recipe for every sign, and former horoscope columnist for BonAppetit.com, and Domino.com.
